Champions Choice BJJ Series # 6

Champions Choice BJJ series is proud to present a Kids ages 4-15, Juvenile, and adult  Gi/ No gi Jiu jitsu Submission only tournament. Covid restrictions are now over but please do not attend if you are sick with ANY viral symptoms, that includes competitors and spectators/ family members.

Location is Kamloops Christian School Gymnasium, kamloops, BC on Saturday April 1st 2023 starting at 9am . Doors open at 8am for child weigh ins, 10 am for adult and juvenille weigh ins. Kids tournament commences at 9am, Adults approximately noon but is subject to change , so be there early and check your smoothcomp profile for brackets and mat times, NOTE THEY CHANGE IN REAL TIME SO REFRESH YOUR BROWSER OFTEN. Children will be disqualified if found to be more than 2 lb over weight, please ensure you weigh your child with Gi on prior to making your entry, DO NOT GUESS YOUR CHILDS WEIGHT ! Please check your childs weight before registration ends on march 24th and update me if any changes need to be made BEFORE WE MAKE BRACKETS! Contact me [email protected]. Adults must make weight, or will be disqualified. Weigh ins are done with Gi on and belt ( usually weighs 4lb). Competitors for NO GI may weigh in without Gi if fighting No Gi only.  No Gi divisions will follow immediately after Gi divisions. Entrants will have a 2 match guarantee. There is an option to weigh in the night before the tournament at the venue between 7 and 8 pm.  Bring your Gi to weigh in if you are competing in GI. Adult divisions consist of male and female white to purple belt, adult and masters one division (over 30) . (Brown and black belt lightweight and heavyweight divisions. There Is also the opportunity For (ON THE DAY) Gold, silver and Bronze medalists in their division to enter and compete to win a white, Blue, Purple,( brown/ Black) Male Absolute medal. Please register for absolute divisions immediately after your Gi division is over, by the weigh in table. Ladies will have the opportunity to compete for an Absolute medal also .

Early bird registration commences on January 4th 2023 0900 and ends on February 4th 2023 at 11pm. Kids, Adults and Juveniles - Early Bird price -$90 for one division, $30 extra for two divisions.  Normal price $110 for one division- add $ 30 for a second division eg- Gi/ No gi. Normal registration begins February 1st at 11 pm . Registration closes On March 24th  at 11pm.  

The event will be contested under standard IBJJF rules- Submission only. If there is a tie, refs decision is final. check out the IBJLF website for the list of rules.  

Kids Gi and No GI Divisions will be 3 minute matches. 

Adult and Juvenile white belts 5 minute matches, and blue belt adult and juvenile 6 minutes. 

Adult purple belt 7 minutes, brown and black belt 10 minute matches. 

Master divisions are 5 minute matches.                 

Spectators Fee is $5 per person or $10 per family. 2 Coaches per team have free entry and do not require a pass for this tournament. However, coaches, any verbal abuse or manipulation to refs will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave the building. 

We have liased with The Thompson Hotel in Kamloops for the friday and saturday night to get a great discounted rate of $149 plus taxes per night. They have a great pool and games room for the kids! Please quote reference #2476 on booking.
