Age and Weight Categories:

The following age categories that WAI use are those of UWW’s. The age categories are as follows:

Kids                  15 and under

Cadets              16-17 years (from 15 with medical and parental certificate)

Juniors              18-20 years (from 17 with medical and parental certificate)

Seniors              20 years and older

*Wrestlers in the Junior age category are allowed to participate in the competition for Seniors. However, wrestlers ages 18 in the year concerned must provide a medical certificate and parental authorisation. Wrestlers aged 17 in the year in question may not participate in the Senior Category.

Entry Fees Per Event:

Adult competitors:     $60        (Seniors)

Youth competitors:     $40        (Under 15 & Cadets & Juniors)

Spectators:               $10

Competition Requirements:

All competitors must wear tops of close fitting elastic material that extends to the waist. Allowable items of clothing include rashguards, grappling shorts, wrestling singlets & spats. Wrestling shoes are recommended though not compulsory. Singlets will be on sale on event day, however it is strongly advised to purchase them before the event.

Weighing In:

Weigh ins are done at entry prior to matches starting (weigh in table next to entry)

Senior Wrestlers will have a +2kg weight allowance.

 Cadets & Juniors +2kg weight allowance.

Kids Under 15 - no weight allowance

All Athletes must be Registered Member of Wrestling Australia, for registrations refer to link below for your respective state:

Wrestling Super Series is a freestyle only competition.

Held at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stadium on Sentry Drive, Stanhope Gardens.

In partnership with Blacktown City Council, these events are operating under COVIDSafe guidelines.
