Champions Choice BJJ series # 5

Champions Choice BJJ series is proud to present our 5th  Kids ages 4-15, Juvenile, and adult  Gi/ No gi Jiu jitsu Points tournament. Absolute belts for adult  GI Divisions Only.

Covid restrictions are now over but please do not attend if you are sick with ANY viral symptoms, that includes competitors and spectators/ family members.

Location is Kamloops Christian School Gymnasium, kamloops, BC on Saturday October 22nd 2022 starting at 9am . Doors open at 8am for child weigh ins, 10am for adult and juvenille weigh ins. Kids tournament commences at 9am, Adults approximately 11am, but is subject to change , so be there early. Children will be disqualified if found to be more than 2 lb over weight, please ensure you weigh your child with Gi on prior to making your entry and double check 1 week prior to the event so updates can be made prior to the last minute. DO NOT guess your childs weight, accurate weights must be obtained. Please register your childs age as the age the child will be on the day of the competition.

Adults must make weight, or will be disqualified. Weigh ins are done with Gi on and belt ( usually weighs 4lb). Competitors for NO GI may weigh in without Gi if fighting No Gi only.  No Gi divisions will follow immediately after Gi divisions. Entrants will have a 2 match guarantee. There is an option to weigh in the night before the tournament at the venue between 6.30 and 730 pm.  Bring your Gi to weigh in if you are competing in GI. Adult divisions consist of male and female white to purple belt, adult and masters one division (over 30) . (Brown and black ) belt lightweight and heavyweight divisions. There Is also the opportunity For Gold, silver and Bronze medallists in their division to enter and compete to win a white, Blue, Purple,( brown/ Black) Male Absolute belt. Ladies will have the opportunity to compete for an Absolute belt also .

Early bird registration commences on July 4th 2022 at 0900 and ends on August 31st 2022 at 11pm. Kids, Adults and Juveniles - Early Bird price -$70  Normal price $90 for one division- add $ 30 for a second division eg- Gi/ No gi.

Normal registration begins September 1st at 0900 . Registration closes On October 16th at 11pm. 

For any changes or edits log on to your smoothcomp account to change weights etc or request a refund. 

Refund policy- 100% Refund until October 8th, 50 % refund until October 16th, No refund after October 16th. 

The event will be contested under standard IBJJF rules- If a tie breaker occurs refs decision is final.  Please note that any verbal or physical aggression will not be tolerated towards staff or refs, you will be asked to leave the event. check out the IBJLF website for the list of rules. We will be running both Gi and No GI divisions.  

Kids Gi and No GI Divisions will be 3 minute matches. 

Adult and Juvenile white belts 5 minute matches, and blue belt adult and juvenile 6 minutes. 

Adult purple belt 7 minutes, brown and black belt 10 minute matches. 

Master divisions are 5 minute matches.                 

Spectators Fee is $10 per person or $20 per family. Coaches are free and do not require a pass for this tournament.
