About Jiu-Jitsu Ronins
We are a team based out of Kolkata, keeping the highest levels Jiu-Jitsu alive in the city. We are a team of fighters focused on helping each other improve, compete and win. While we have been lucky enough to receive sporadic instruction in BJJ from time to time by visiting professors, including Prof. Rhys Dykes, Prof. Thiago Rodrigues Silva, Prof. Sonny Mehra, and last but not the least, our Prof. Alexander Aguet who provides us consistent guidance over long distance mediums. Our Judo teacher is Sensei Samir Chandra Paul. We come from a wide range of arts, including wrestling, Judo, MMA, and a wide range of striking arts, however, what knits us together is our love for Jiu-Jitsu. Our name is inspired from our circumstances, as a large part of our BJJ journey is through self cultivation - hence a name that signifies a cult of masterless samurai.
