2023 Central Coast Open Judo Championship

2023 Central Coast Open Judo Championship Central Coast Adventist School Sports Stadium

AFTER CLOSE OF ENTRY INFORMATION

Now that the entries have closed for the 2023 Central Coast Open, the process will begin of amalgamating weight divisions where required, to try and ensure everyone has the opportunity for a number of matches.

Minimum number of entries in any division will be 2 and they will contest the best of 3 matches.

As previously highlighted, Tournament organisers will automatically amalgamate division of 1 entry to the next weight category only. (not up 2 weight categories)

Tournament organisers will amalgamate weight categories within their own Division.

Eg1: Division C with Division C and Division B with Division B etc

Eg2: Division B will not be amalgamated up to the same weight in Division A

Club Coaches may request their player in Division B be amalgamated with the same weight in Division A.

In some circumstances the Club Coach may request their Novice player be amalgamated with Division B.

These requests need to be emailed and completed by 7.00pm Friday 5th May.

Please Note: If a category has minimum 2 entries, that category will hold and players will not be adjusted.

Amalgamating categories will only involve categories that have a single player.

After this point, if there are still individual players that cannot be matched safely into another division, then the Tournament Organisers will be required to refund their entry fee and removed from the tournament draws.

Reminder: Checking of Weights will occur on Sunday at the tournament prior to players competing.

If Juniors (500gm) and Adults (1kg) are heavier than the tolerance they will be withdrawn from the draw.

We are looking forward to seeing all participating clubs and individuals on Sunday.
