Skopje Jiu-Jitsu Open 2018

General Event Information

"Skopje Jiu-Jitsu Open 2018" is an inaugural Jiu-Jitsu tournament set to take place in Skopje, R. Macedonia, on November 10. The venue is going to be OU Nevena Georgieva Dunja, Mihail Chakov 9, 1000 Skopje. 

- Categories include Juvenile, Adult and Master. The tournament is going to be a Gi only event, in accordance with UAEJJF rules.

- Weigh-ins will take place the night before the tournament between 20:00 - 21:00 at Ferijalen Dom Skopje. Late weigh-ins are also going to be available between 09:30 and 10:30. on the day of the tournament.

- Only the competitor and his/her coach are going to have access to the weigh-in area.

- Every competitor must have a Gi sized correctly, as per UAEJJF rules. If your Gi or belt are deemed unsuitable you will have to find a replacement or will be disqualified. More information on Gi requirements on the following link: UAEJJF GI REQUIREMENTS 

- Free car parking is available around the event venue. Spectator entry is free and restricted to the stands only.

-REGISTRATION FOR THE EVENT IS FREE. Entry fee will be paid at the weigh-ins.

Registration

The deadline for registration is the day before the event. Registration for the "Skopje Jiu-Jitsu Open 2018" will open on 15.10.2018 at the following prices:

- Adults: 15 EUR

- Juvenile: 10 EUR

- You can make changes to your registration until 23:59 on the day of the final registration deadline (Friday prior to the event).

- Payments will be done in cash, on-site, at the weigh-ins.

- Absolute division registration will take place on the day of the tournament and will only be open to medalists from each category.

Weigh-Ins And Categories

- No weigh-ins directly before stepping on the mats. Early weigh-ins will take place the night before the tournament between 20:00 - 21:00 at Ferijalen Dom Skopje. Late weigh-ins on the day of the tournament will start at 09:30 and finish at 10:30.

- When arriving, competitors must have an ID (passport, ID card, driver's license etc.). Competitors must weigh in with their Gi and belt on. Make sure all equipment is clean and nails are trimmed short. Gi requirements are in accordance with UAEJJF rules and can be found on the following link: UAEJJF COMPETITION RULES

Master (30+) / White, Blue, Purple, Brown or Black / -62kg, -69kg, -77kg, -85kg, -94kg, -110kg, +110kg

FEMALE:

Division / Belt / Weights

Juvenile (15-17) / All Belts / -52kg, +52kg

Adult (18+) / White, Blue, Purple, Brown or Black / -62kg, +62kg

Brackets and Event Schedule

- Brackets will be posted on the morning of the tournament after weigh-ins. 

- A REAL-TIME schedule by bracket and REAL-TIME schedule by match order will be featured on large TV monitors at the event allowing you access to the most up-to-date information available.

- Please be ON TIME to your designated mat to keep the tournament running on time

   12:00 - First matches begin

Results And Awards

- Winners of each category will receive medals.

- Team trophies will be given to the top three teams at the tournament.

- Results will be announced as the tournament takes place, along with medal award ceremonies for each respective category.
