2023 Kosen Nationals

Welcome to the 2023 Kosen National Championship.  The Kosen ruleset is unique and aims to provide an even playing field for Judoka, BJJers, Wrestlers, Sambo fighters etc. to compete together.  The Rules can be found at:  https://www.usja.net/staff/forms/163/document/download?display=inline .  

USJA or USJF membership is required.  Non-members can receive a 10-day USJA trial membership for $10 at https://usja.net/#join which includes grappling insurance.  Senior men's, women's and master's divisions will be single elimination.  An additional free open weight men's and women's division is available.  All other divisions will be double elimination.  All competitors must wear a white BJJ or Judo gi.

Registrations close on 11/6/23.  There will be NO exceptions.  Registration changes can be made until 11/7/23.  Brackets and start times will be available by late 11/8/23.
