2024 JudoSA State Titles
The 2024 State Titles is an important event in the JudoSA Calendar and brings together judoka from all Clubs.
The State Titles is open to all divisions from Under 11 Boys and Girls to Senior Men and Women. Players must be current financial member of JudoSA, JA State or Territory Association or IJF; turning 9 years this calendar year or older; and a minimum grade of Go Kyu (Full Yellow Belt). Adaptive Judo (No Limits/Special Needs) Players are welcome to enter.
Go Kyu players must have agreement from their coach that they are sufficiently experienced to compete safely.

Weigh-in for ALL Players:
- 4.30pm to 5.30pm at Port Augusta Judo Club;
- 6.00pm to 7.00pm at The Lights; or
- 6.30pm to 7.30pm at Kazoku Judokan (Reynella East College)
SATURDAY 4 May 2024
Kata: from 11.00am to 12.00pm
Shiai: From 12.00pm to approx 4.00pm. Order of matches from junior to senior.
NOTICES:
- New Age & Weight Divisions: Judo Australia's 2024 requirements for players under 15 years of age will be adopted at this and subsequent events. For more information go to: https://www.ausjudo.com.au/competitionrules
- Half Colour Belts: Select the higher colour level on your belt, ignoring any black tip, when registering.
- Weigh-in: Changes to weight divisions will be allowed at time of weigh-in. If you are unable to weigh-in at these times please contact the Event Coordinator at [email protected] at least a day prior to the event.
- Combining Divisions: If there is only one entry in a weight or age division, the player will be entered in the next higher weight class. The Tournament Director has the discretion to combine divisions in alignment with best principles, to ensure players have a match, taking into account the player's weight, age and skill level to maximise a safe environment.
- Match Sequence: The published match sequence is an estimate, players should use this as a guide only and players should arrive well in advance of their forecast fight time. The draw is not final and subject to change without notice.

Judogi and Safety Requirements
- All players competing in the event must have undamaged and clean white and blue judogi that meets current size regulations. The sleeves must cover up the full arm including wrist; the 'skirt' has to cover the buttocks completely; the distance between the bottom of the trousers and the exterior ankle bone must be less or equal to 5 cm; and the belt tips starting from the central knot must have a length between 20 and 30cm.
- Females players to wear a white T-shirt under the judogi.
- The nails of the feet and hands to be clean and cut short.
- Long hair: Tie up long hair securely so it is out of the way, not covering the neck, and does not prevent the grip of the opponent. Hair ties must not be metallic.
- Mouth Guards: As per the Judo Australia Sporting Code, mouth guards are permitted provided they are properly fitted by a dentist. Unfitted mouth guards shall not be permitted. The player must provide documentation prior to the competition to the Event Coordinator at [email protected] and the player must also notify the mat Referee that they have a mouth guard each time they enter the mat to compete.
