WEIGH-INS

YOUTH DIVISIONS: 9h30 - 10h30

ADULT DIVISIONS:

All weigh-ins will take place all day once all youth divisions are weighted in. Competitors are expected to be checked-in, weighed-in, warmed up and ready to compete 1 hour prior to their scheduled division.

GI Competitors weigh-in WITH THE GI ON.

We tolerate a 1 pound allowance.

Absolute divisions will start after the divisions are completed. You must medal in your own division to be eligible for absolutes.

It is the athlete’s responsibility to be on weight and make sure they are registered in the correct weight division, rank, and team on the competitor list.

In the occurrence that an athlete cannot make weight, he/she should contact us immediately before the registration MODIFICATION/CORRECTION deadline (supposed to be yesterday). The day of the tournament, we will no longer accept registration corrections, athletes who fail to make weight will be disqualified with no refund.

ALL adult divisions will be SINGLE-ELIMINATION. Kids divisions will be DOUBLE-ELIMINATION.

RULES

Single-Elimination :

A single-elimination is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion.

Double-Elimination :

A double-elimination tournament is a type of elimination tournament competition in which a participant ceases to be eligible to win the tournament’s championship upon having lost two games or matches. It stands in contrast to a single-elimination tournament, in which only one defeat results in elimination.

Tournament structure :

ALL adult divisions will be single-elimination and ALL Kids divisions will be double-elimination.

Submission Arts United competitors can compete in Gi and/or Nogi. Both formats operate in different rule sets.

Youth Gi divisions follow our SAU Allowable Techniques Chart :

Adult Gi divisions follow the rule sets and guidelines of the IBJJF :

In the case of different ranks competing against each other, we will adopt the rules of the lower belt rank.

Adult Nogi divisions follow our unique Submission Only rule set
