Venue: Newry - Free Parking, changing area and showers at venue

Registration: Open NOW - entries will be capped due to hall availability so register early to secure your place.

Registration Info

To ensure integrity of divisions please follow guidelines below:

Am & Pro MMA fighters MUST enter blue belt or above.

ONLY If your club only does no gi and no belt ranks please follow guideline below:

White Belt Division - training for under 2 years

Blue Belt Division - training 2-4 years

Purple Belt - Training 4 years plus

Brown Belt - training 8 years plus

Black Belt - training 10 years plus

MATCHES

Matches will be 5 minutes for white, 6 minutes for blue, 7 for purple and 8 minutes for Brown/black category.

WEIGH IN

 Weigh in will take place prior to your division as you enter bullpen, you have only one opportunity to make weight. If the athlete does not make his/her weight, they will be immediately disqualified and are not allowed to compete in either the weight class or open class. Please make sure that you are in the correct weight division. You can not change divisions, if you do not make your designated division, no changes will be accepted on the tournament day, no refunds.

WEIGHT CLASSES

MEN:  -61.5, -67.5, -73.5, -79.5, -85.5, -91.5, -97.5 and +97.5 kg

Masters 1

Brown/black open class

WOMEN: -51.5, -56.5, -61.5, -66.5, -71.5 kg, -76.5 over 76.5 kg

RULES: We will be using the standard IBJJF rules, weight divisions and attire. We advise EVERYONE TO READ THE RULES! They can be found on the IBJJF website here - http://ibjjf.org/rules/

WHAT TO WEAR:  

Board shorts, with no pockets or with pockets entirely stitched shut, and must reach at least halfway down the thigh (no more than 15 cm from the knee). Attached metal or plastic of any kind that may hurt the opponent is expressly forbidden on the board shorts.

Men are permitted the use of pants, shorts or trunks of elastic fabric (clings to body).

Shirt of elastic fabric (clings to body) at a length that covers the shorts’ waist band.

Athletes must wear undergarments. The use of thong-type undergarments is not permitted; only brief-type undergarments may be worn.

Women:

Board shorts or lycra elastic shorts or pants.  Attached metal or plastic of any kind that may hurt the opponent is expressly forbidden on the board shorts.

Shirt of elastic fabric (clings to body) at a length that covers the shorts’ waist band.

Athletes must wear undergarments. The use of thong-type undergarments is not permitted; only brief-type undergarments may be worn.

In the female divisions is permitted the use of full length pants in elastic fabric (clings to body).

Please note colour and design of attire is not restricted regardless of belt.

LIMITED NUMBER OF SIGN-UPS:  The competition will have a limited number of competitors. When the maximum limit is reached, we will close the registration! It's a first come first serve!

Three people must be in a division for it to run, if less than three people are in a division you will be allowed to move up weight class

Entries are not refundable or exchangeable 

Male Brown/ Black belt division will run as an open division
