Doors open at 09:00hrs for on door registration, competition starts 10:30hrs Sharp ! National Martial Arts Committee Competition Platform are hosts of the East of England Competition Series. As previous years the competition is OPEN to everyone.

Medals & Trophies

All winning athletes will receive medals, Gold, Silver & Bronze at each competition, also picking up points creating a league table for each category. Over the series an overall winner will be determined and a National Grand Champion Trophy awarded to the person that finishes top of each league. Second and third in each category will receive runners up trophies too.

Categories

Categories to be included are : Individual Patterns/Kata’s (Forms), Synchronised Patterns, Creative Patterns, Self Defence, Points Sparring, Continuous Sparring, Team Sparring and Grappling. Pattern & Self Defence Categories will be determined by age. Sparring and Grappling Categories will be determined by height and age.

Athletes that enter a category at the start of the year and turn of age during the year will remain in that category for Patterns and Self Defence.

Where an athlete increases in height during the year in the Sparring categories they will move up to the next category taking their points with them. If an athlete turns 18 years of age during the year they will move up to the adult category and also take their points with them.

Rules & Regulations

There will be a briefing before the start of each competition for Coaches and Officials. The Event Arbitrator will be available to answer any questions regarding the rules for the Competition.

Insurance

Athletes registration details will be used to include each athlete on the tournaments Insurance policy.
