TAOLU competition regulations

COMPETITION CATEGORIES & CLASSES TAOLU:

Children’s festival (6-10 yrs): 
open hand forms – modern, traditional, internal

Cadets (11-14 yrs):
modern hand forms girls – Changquan, Nanquan
modern hand forms boys – Changquan, Nanquan
modern weapons girls – Dao, gun, jian, qiang, nandao, nangun
modern weapons boys – Dao, gun, jian, qiang, nandao, nangun
traditional & internal hand forms girls – Ex: Taiji, Hunggar etc

Juniors (15-17 yrs):

About number of participants per class:
In case less than 3 athletes are registered in a category it will be merged together with the nearest possible category according to age and gender. If a merge still is impossible the category will be cancelled, and coaches will be notified as soon as possible or on the day after the registration deadline.

TAOLU COMPETITION RULES
Sweden Kung fu & Wushu Federation rules for Taolu will be implemented at this competition. The SKWF competition rules for Wushu Taolu is based on the 2019 set of IWUF rules.

Time limits in Taiji quan
The time limits in taji quan is minimum 3 minutes and max 4 minutes. After 3,5 minutes signal will sound to finnish long forms. No deduction of points will be made for not performing a whole set/form.
Own music is allowed but not mandatory, should be provided before performance on USB stick to the mat secretariat and picked up after.

Smoothcomp registration and competition system will be used, and the score of each athlete will be announced on a monitor after each performance, and also published online.

Competition floor: The WESING IWUF approved taolu carpet 16 m x 10 m, placed on 2 cm jigsaw mats will be used in the competition. For taiji, traditional mat can be used.
