REGISTRATION

For smooth running on comp day there will be no extension of registration dates. Registration period may be closed early should a maximum number of entries be reached, so don't leave your registration until the last minute.

WEIGH-INS

Division times are updated live, please keep an eye on times on the website and ensure you arrive a minimum of 1 hour before your division is scheduled to run. If you are not present when your division is called you may be disqualified.

Competitors must weigh in wearing the attire you will be competing in (i.e. 15 years and under in full AFBJJ legal gi, 16 years and above in AFBJJ legal no gi)

If you do not weigh in EQUAL TO or LESS THAN the maximum limit of your nominated division you will be disqualified. (i.e. if you are registered in the -76kg division, you must weigh between 70-76kg. If you weight more than 76kgs you must move up to the next weight division).

Once weighed in you must stay in the competitor area until the conclusion of your division. If you leave the competitor area before the conclusion of your division and fail to be present at the mat for your next bout you may be disqualified.

DIVISIONS

To ensure that all kids get a match we may need to make mixed brackets that combine ages or weights. We make every effort to match kids divisions as close as possible to their registered weight and age.

Divisions are single elimination with no bronze medal match (with the exception of 3 person divisions). In 4 person or larger divisions, bronze medal will be awarded to the competitor who lost to the gold medalist prior to the final match.

RULES

It is the responsibility of competitors and coaches to be familiar with the relevant rules. You may download the rule book here
