As a small tournament, we understand that every competitor may not in fact have an opponent in his or her division. Our goal in hosting this tournament is to give all competitors a chance to compete against grapplers from other gyms with a unique atmosphere and rule set. As such, we emphasize the opportunity for all registered competitors to sign up for as many weight classes and experience levels as they feel comfortable competing in.

With that being said, you can only compete up in experience and weight class. A 8 year old girl weighing 27 kg (60lbs) may choose to sign up for the 9-11 year old class or with other 6-8 year olds in a higher weight class, but she will not be allowed to move down to a lower weight class to compete. 

Masters competitors can choose to compete lower in the men's open division to ensure matches, but men and women aged 18-34 are not allowed to move up to the higher age levels. 

Teen boys and girls are permitted to compete in the adult open divisions and even the absolute divisions, but will need to be prepared for the different rule sets and time limits for those divisions. A parent MUST be present to allow a teen to compete in the adult division.

If no one shows up in your division, we will do our best to find you a match that you and your coaches agree to and you will be declared the winner of your division. This will ensure that your team gets awarded for the win and you can still get some experience while attending the event.

There will be no refunds for the event. We can provide you with a voucher for an upcoming event or you can exchange the dollar amount for credit towards equipment or merchandise while you are attending the event.
