Safety is the priority when matching your kids for the competition. As a result, the first priority is a child's weight, second their age and thirdly their belt level. Do not be worried if your child has been matched with another that is a different coloured belt.

Age Selection

We calculate competitors age using the current year minus year of birth to align with IBJJF rules. For example, a competitor born in 2008 will therefore compete in the 14 Year Old age group. Please check https://ibjjf.com/rules/

Weight Selection

Weights in the drop-down box are represented as the limit weight of the athlete wearing appropriate Gi and belt.

Ensure your child's weight on their Smoothcomp profile is correct before you sign up for the competition. Brackets may be merged to provide competitors with more fights respecting our safety policy. You can edit your registration for free (including which weight you have signed up to) up to check-day.

Checking Day

The day after entries close is when all competitors should check if their entry is correct and if they have other competitors in their division. Up to this day, competitors can make changes to their entry or request a refund by cancelling their registration on the Smoothcomp system.

Refund Policy

If you would like to cancel your registration you have till Checking-Day to request a 90% refund. After that the registration fee is non-refundable.
