ROGUE Grappling's SEASON 3 continues with ROGUE Grappling 9 - AFTER THE FALL. Kicking off the New Year (and hopefully closing a chapter on Covid in the process!) in Sussex, NB, we're looking forward to starting 2022 off with a bang.. once again from the Gym at Encounter Church!

Note - storm date is March 12th, 2022... same venue!

Weight Divisions

Kids will be grouped together as closely as possible by weight and experience level.
Men < 145, 146 - 160, 161 - 175, 176 - 190, 191 - 205, 206 - 220, 221+
Women < 130, 131 - 145, 146 - 160, 161 - 175, 176+
Note: Divisions may be combined, amended or created depending on registration.

Rules (Gi)
Kids divisions, Under 9 years old - no submissions permitted; points only
Kids divisions, 10 - 12 years old - No standing guillotines, omoplatas, pulling the head in a triangle or submissions below the waist. No wrist lock.
Kids and Youth divisions, 13 - 17 years old - Nothing below the waist, no cranking or reaping, no spinal manipulation. No wrist lock.
Adult, White Belt - Nothing below the waist except straight ankle lock. No spinal manipulations or cranks.
Adult, Blue Belt - Knee bar, Toe hold, Straight ankle, Wrist lock permitted. No spinal manipulations.
Adult, Purple/Brown/Black - All IBJJF Black Belt legal submissions except heel hooks; knee reaping is permitted (ie. a position like 4/11 will not result in a stoppage or DQ)

No jumping guard. No slams. No scissor takedown from standing.
In the case of draw, matches will be decided by official's decision.

In the event of a Round Robin bracket with a tie, the tie breaker will be decided by victories by submissions, followed by fastest submission, followed by point spread, followed by ref's decision.

Match Length
Kids and Youth - 3 minutes
Adults - 5 minutes
Absolute - 5 minutes

Kids divisions will compete first, followed by Adult advanced belts, Adult beginner belts and ending with Absolutes.

Registration, Pricing and Weigh Ins
Weigh ins will be done in your competition clothing. Failure to make weight could result in a disqualification without refund. Please note that divisions may be combined or created depending on registrants at any given weight division or experience level. Divisions will be grouped together as close as possible by weight and experience level and are dependent on registrations. We do allow a 1 lbs. weight allowance.

Early Registration starts October 17th, 2021 @ midnight and continues through Sunday, February 20th, 2022 at 23h59.
Late Registration starts Monday, February 21st at midnight and registration closes Wednesday, February 23rd @ midnight.

Weigh Ins will run from 8h30 through 10h, Kids matches will begin at 9h30.  

Kids and Youth, Early Registration - $40. Late registration $45. 
Adult Male, Early Registration - $70. Late registration $80.
Adult Female, Early Registration - $50. Late registration $55.
Absolute Only - $30 
Absolute, if competing in another division - $10

PLEASE NOTE - MALE ABSOLUTE: White belts will not be permitted to compete in the Absolute without prior permission. If you are an experienced Grappler (ie. Judo, Wrestling) but a white belt in BJJ, please message us in advance of registration. As it stands, the Male Absolute is only open to Blue belts or higher. Registering for the Absolute bracket is your confirmation you meet these criteria. Failing to adhere to this rule may result in disqualification.

To receive the discounted pricing you must have the divisions you want to compete in in your cart at the time of checkout.

Refund Policy
We will extend a 100% refund for cancellations requested on or before February 20th, 2022 @ 23h59 and a 75% refund for cancellations received after then but before February 23rd 2022 @ 20h.

Note that if Covid policy changes require the event to be cancelled, full refunds will be provided. As it stands today, proof of vaccination will be required for all competitors, coaches, spectators and volunteers. ROGUE Grappling reserves the right to deny anyone entry, including for failure to provide proof of vaccination if it is required by Public Health mandate.
