This 5+ STAR event earns competitors National Ranking Points - 45 Gold, 15 Silver and 5 Bronze.

FEES

There are gi and no gi divisions and open divisions for juveniles, adults and masters both male and female. There are gi divisions only for Might-Mites (4-6yo), Pee-Wees (7-9yo) , Juniors (10-12yo) and Teens (13-15yo).

Early Bird (Ends 5 March  2022)  

Kids $50

All Kids divisions will be on Saturday from 9am-11am

Juveniles $70 + $20 for each extra division

Adults $75 + $20 for each extra division

Normal registration (Ends 9pm 9 June 2022)  

Kids $60

Juveniles $75 + $25 for each extra division

Adults $90 + $25 for each extra division

ALL DIVISIONS are all per IBJJF but in case of single competitors in lone divisions, they will be contacted to discuss options. These options include awarding of the win and points, or a move to another division.

AFBJJ Membership Required 

All competitors are required to have current AFBJJ membership to compete in all AFBJJ nation wide events. In order to compete the online registration process, competitors must authenticate using their AFBJJ membership https://afbjj.smoothcomp.com/en/federation/44/membership . Age Selection 

The AFBJJ now calculates competitor date of births against the the 31-12-2021 (or current year minus year of birth) to align with IBJJF rules. So, a competitor born on the 5 May 2008 will therefore compete in the 14 Year Old age group. Please check https://ibjjf.com/rules/

Weight Selection

Weights in the drop down box are represented as net with the appropriate Gi or No Gi allowance included in brackets e.g. the 79kg (82.3kg) Gi weight category means a net weight under 79kg and a combined gross weight (including Gi) of under 82.3kg.

Refund Policy

If you would like to cancel your registration you have till the last day of registration to request 95% refund (9 May 2021). After the registration is closed, you can still request partial refund during checking day (14 June22). After that the registration fee is non-refundable. Exemptions: Athletes who are alone in their bracket are eligible to receive a 90% refund of the registration fee, if not wanting points or moving up a division. ALL DIVISIONS are all per IBJJF.

Event Entry

The ACT Controlled Sports Act 2019  - Controlled Sports (Combat Sports) Policy  (https://www.sport.act.gov.au/clubs-and-organisations/combat-sport-applications) requires all ACT Martial Arts Competitions are run by an endorsed recognised sporting body. The AFBJJ is not an endorsed recognised peak body. The ACT BJJ Championships is part of the AFBJJ circuit of competitions but also must adhere to the Australian JuJitsu Federation (AJF) policy and procedures as the AJF is the recognised accredited peak body.

The Australian Jujitsu Federation (AJF) requires that all members and members within schools and associations being members of the AJF provide within their individual membership agreements and within any and all Event entry agreements for the following.
