Samurai Judo Championships 2022

The dojo with the most points at the end of the competition will receive the trophy and a $1000 check.

Weigh-in will start at 9:00 am, line up at 9:30 am, and PeeWee brackets shortly after

Please be at the competition 9:00AM sharp, we will start the 4-6 and 7-8 year old divisions.

Entry  Fee:

• Regular Pricing: $60 - before Oct 16

• Late Pricing: $75 - between October 16 and October 20

• Second Division: $20 (discount will be applied in checkout)

End of registration is October 20th 11:59 pm

• $5 spectator fee

THERE IS NO 'DAY-OF' REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT. Refunds until OCT 14th, after that all entries are final.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: US athletes ages 4 and up, white belt to brown belt. Athletes will need to present a valid USA Judo, USJA, ATJA, or USJF membership when checking in.

Rules: This event will use a modified IJF rule set. No armbars are allowed for any division. Chokes are allowed for 13 yrs old and up. Tournament directors have the right to modify any IJF Rule they deem necessary during the event. There will be 3 mats with no care system.

Matches: All divisions will be grouped once registration closes. The listed divisions are placeholders and weight classes are set up so we can get a general idea of the divisions.

8 yrs old and under will be pooled into groups of 3 or 4 as close to age, weight, and belt as possible.  Pools will use round robin brackets. 8 and under will receive an award.

9 yrs old and up will use round robin brackets for groups under 5 athletes and double elimination brackets for 6+ athletes.

• Peewee Divisions: 2 min

• 7-14 Divisions: 3 min

• 14+ Divisions: 4 min
