The Battle of Stockholm

It is a submission wrestling, double elimination competition with third prize matches. This means that you are guaranteed at least two matches. All matches are 8 min. If a match ends without submission it will be followed by a overtime final. Beginner, medium and advanced classes. And we have a class for those who are over 40 years old. 

NO AUDIENCE IS ALLOWED. 

Up to 150 competitors can register, please register and pay to secure your spot. 100 % refund is available until 23.59 o'clock at the 25 of june.

Fill it in at competition day. 

The same document will be sold at the competition for 20 SEK. 

Weight, experience and age classes

Men: -66kg, -77kg, -88kg, -99, +99kg

Women: -60 -70, +70

Beginner: up to 2 years of grappling is recommended

Intermediate: 2-4 years of training is recommended

Advanced: + 4 years is recommended (it is OK to compete in intermediate class regardless if you have more than 4 years of experience)

Competitors + 40 years of age is competing under one rule set; intermediate

Schedule

Drop in at 11.00. Matches starts at 12:00. Estimated ready at 20.00.

Weigh in

The weigh-ins are directly before your first match.

If you can not make weight before the end of the weigh-in period or is not medically cleared to compete, you will be disqualified. 

There will be a test scale avaliable.

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances on fight day, refunds is handled through Smoothcomp within the allowed time period.

Open class

There is no open class. 

Rules

Illegal techniques is the same as in ADCC for beginners, intermediate and advanced. Read here

Fight time: 8 minutes in all categories + overtime 2x2 min

Overtime: Start position is either back with two hooks in and a seatbelt or spider web. A coin will be flipped and the person who wins (here called x) chooses which of the two attacking positions he or she will hold the other person (here called Y) in.

Xs assignment is to submit Y, Ys assignment is to escape from a submitting position within 2 minutes. The time it takes for either one of the above is noticed, and then they change places, and Y gets to change the attacking position to start in. The one who submits or escapes the quickest wins.

Uniform

Must wear rash guard and shorts or spats. No shorts with pockets are allowed.

No slippery substances on the body

No metal on clothing or body

Wrestlingshoes optional

No metal or hard plastic protections

Registration fee

400 SEK or 40 euro (before 26 June)

Prices

Advanced: The gold medalists will receive a cup (pokal) and a gift card at Rebelz.com on 400 SEK (40 euro). 

The silver and bronze medalists will receive a cup (pokal). 

Intermediate: 1-3 place will get a medal

Beginner: 1-3 place will get a medal

General info

Fight schedule and brackets will be up after the registration period ends.

Where need be, divisions will be combined in order to secure everyone fights, pending the number of athletes in each category.

2 mats will be used.

There will be space for warm up on a wrestling mat.

The matches will continue during light rain. With heavy rain or thunder the matches will be paused until it is safe to continue.

There are no locker rooms, come dressed for match! 

There is public toilets in Rålambshovsparken, for men and women. There is a lots of cafés/restaurants closeby as well, customers can use them. 

No audience is allowed. The only people coming near the mats will be competitors and ONE coach per team. Competitors and coaches are let close just before warm up. When the matches are over you need to leave the area a.s.a.p.
