Submission only championships Feb 9th

February 9th is an opportunity to compete under a unique setting. Round robin, no time limit with cash prizes.

Submission only championships presents a competition opportunity to test your submission skills in a no time limit format.

Submission only championships is a submission only competition with a no time limit format for adults and 5 minute time limits for children and teens. Every division is round robin excluding the absolute which is single elimination.

The SOC uses the IBJJF format for allowed submissions.

Brackets are limited to 5 competitors each getting 4 matches, if there is more than one bracket the winners from both brackets are brought together for a finals match. Normal divisions are round robin with the absolute division being single elimination. Larger children's divisions maybe bigger than 5 matches. 

Children's matches are limited to 5 minutes with a win or draw format.

All adult matches are no time limit with cash prizes open divisions only. 

You no longer must register for your weight division to access the open weight cash prizes divisions. 

Cash prizes for Men and womens absolute divisions are Blue Belt $250, Purple belt $350, Brown and Black belt $1000. Divisions must be filled to cover the cash prizes and keep the event sustainable. Blue belts need at least 4 competitors to cover the prize, purple belts need at least 5 competitors, brown need at least 10 and black need at least 10 to have the full cash prize available. The purple, brown and black belt maybe mixed if there are not enough competitors to make up the $1000 cash prizes.

Engraved wooden swords are given to children who win GI and NOGI, if you share the first place in either GI or NOGI you will not receive a sword. Please inform your young competitors before the competition as we do not want to disappoint our competitors on the podium. Adults who wins the GI and NOGI weight divisions will also receive an engraved wooden sword.

Engraved wooden swords will be awarded to the winners of the adult absolute divisions. 

Team swords will be given to the top Three over all teams. 

Children's divisions costs are early birds at $40 for one division and $70 for two, normal is $50 for one, $90 for two and later registration one division is $60 for one and $110 for both.

Adults early birds are $45 for one division and $80 for both, normal is $55 and $100 for both and later registration is $65 for one division $120 for both. 

Absolute early bird is $75 for one division, $140 for both, normal is $85 for one division and $160 for both and for late registration is $95 and $170 for both.
