North-South-Challenge

GREAT NEWS FOR ALL GRAPPLING, BJJ & MMA ATHLETES.

We like to present and welcome you to NORTH•SOUTH•CHALLENGE - New generation of competing in different types of combat tournaments including all grappling aspects (Bjj gi/ No-Gi) and MMA.

Providing great services and fun on the day in lovely 1000m2 venue, with 4 mat (tatami) areas for competitors, 4 changing rooms with showers, great parking and access to town (1min walk from main st.) Competitors will be taking care of during smooth organised event with nice rewards medals, trophies and prizes.

Everyone welcome with great distance and access from both North and South

(1 hour from Belfast/ 1hour from Dublin). Tournaments will run every 2/3 months and will be mixed between: Submission Wrestling , BJJ GI and MMA for novice, beginner and intermediate level fighters giving you great opportunity, growth of experience and meeting other talented people on our mats.

All just for 25e (Early) registration fee and of course kids 6yrs+ 15e.

First : NORTH•SOUTH•GRAPPLING•CHALLENGE (NO-GI) will be held on 23th of September.

This is submission only event, heel-hooks in expert division only. 

Adults:

Expert - All submissions allowed (No slams, No neck cranks)

Intermediate - Toes hold allowed but No heel-hooks allowed

Beginners - Straight Knee bar, Ankle lock.

Novice - No Leg locks.

Juvenile/ Teenagers:

No Leg locks.

If no submission till end of round first athlete to complete the takedown wins. If no competitors in your division you will be matched/ moved to different division, to give a chance for everyone to compete on the day.

Novice - (6 months total grappling experience).  Beginner - (6 months to 2 years total grappling experience).   Intermediate - (2 years to 5 years total grappling experience. BJJ blue belts are Intermediate).  Expert - (5 years + total grappling experience. BJJ purple, brown, black belts are Expert)

Adult - Novice/ Beginners/ Intermediate = 5min,                                                                                            Expert = 6min,                                                                                                                                                     Teenagers = 5min,                                                                                                                                        Juvenile = 4min,                                                                                                                                               Kids = 2/ 3min

Kids will be matched on the day. Kids 6-8 age 2min round no submissions allowed advantage points only, 8-12 3min Basic submissions will be allowed and advantage points.
