16 man Nogi submission only tournament - Open weight - 10 min rounds - League format to knock out stages. Kick off at 11am
Nogi Absolute tournament. Submission only with 10 minute rounds. MUST HAVE UNDER 2 YEARS GRAPPLING EXPERIENCE.
When: Saturday 19th May – Doors open at 10.30am for the tournament to begin at 11am
Where: Saltoun House, 14 William Street, Paisley, PA1 2LZ - [Street Parking]
Pay: Payment will be required by 12th May to secure your spot in the competition. Payments can be sent via https://paypal.me/pools/c/83UXcIUCO4 or in cash by arranging with myself.
What to bring: Usual comp stuff (rash guards/tshirts/shorts/spats/gi pants/mouth guards/tape/water/nibbles). Unfortunately no showering facilities are available. There are nearby shops.
Rules: Please make yourself aware of the below rules. Any questions are welcome. We wont be going over them on the day but will require that you acknowledge and accept the rules:

Format
First round in league format to progress to knockout stage
No overtime in league stage - no win results in a draw
Rules
• 10-minute match length
• Submission only, no points
• Overtime in knockout stages only, will be 5 minute rounds with 1 minute rest [TBC]
Equipment
• No protective cups
• No wrestling headgear
• Rashguards and spats/tights are allowed
Illegal Techniques
• No hair pulling
• No eye poking
• No fish hooking
• No striking
• No small limb manipulation
• No slamming
• No heel hooks
• No stalling
• No grabbing of clothing
Legal Techniques
• Wrist locks are allowed
• Knee bars are allowed
• Bicep slicers, calf slicers and compression locks are allowed
• Twisters and electric chair submissions are allowed
Referees
The referee at all times has at their discretion the ability to end the fight or modify a rule to maintain the safety of the fighters and the integrity of the tournament for reasons that include but are not limited to: poor sportsmanship of competitor or coach, arguing with officials, use of foul language, attempting to use dangerous techniques etc.
Referee Commands
• Fight!: Begins the fight
• Time/Stop!: Stops the fight; competitors must stop on this command
• Verbal warnings given on a stop: if given a verbal warning it must be adhered to or it may result in a disqualification
