BRACKETS

Below are age brackets. Upon registering, you will be able to select the weight classes corresponding. Please remember that weight is in KILOGRAMMS as to follow International rules. Please be as accurate as possible as official weigh-in will be verified and gross errors may lead to disqualification or the ability to find a suitable opponent on event day. 

For our Jiu Jitsu friends, belts equivalent are below:

BJJ white = Judo white, yellow, orange, green, blue

BJJ blue = Judo brown

BJJ purple = new Judo black belt

BJJ brown = experienced Judo black belt*BJJ black = 2nd / 3rd Dan+*  

Once you register by age, you will have options for weight class and corresponding belt levels. Tournament direction reserves the right to further review to ensure fair and equitable matches and to consult with coaches.

YOUTH

• Boys & Girls 5-6 years old
• Boys & Girls 7-8 years old
• Boys & Girls 9-10 years old

• Boys 11-12 years old
• Girls 11-12 years old

JUNIORS

• Juvenile Boys 13-14 years old

• Juvenile Girls 13-14 years old

• Cadet Men 14-16 years old

• Cadet Women 14-16 years old

SENIORS AND MASTERS

• Senior Men 17-29 years old

• Senior Women 17-29 years old

• Master Men 30+years old

• Master Women 30+ years old

RANK DIVISION

• YOUTH Novice - White and yellow belts

• YOUTH Non-Novice – Orange belts and higher

• JUNIOR Novice - White and yellow belts
• JUNIOR Non-Novice – Orange belts and higher
• SENIORS Novice - White and yellow belts

• SENIORS Non-novice - Orange belts to Brown Belt
• SENIORS Brown and black belts
• All MASTERS (Novice may be grouped with Senior Novice due to the limited number of competitors)
