ZANDER'S ABSOLUTE JIU JITSU TOURNAMENT PRESENTED BY ZANDER FIGHT PROMOTIONS

Welcome to Zanders Absolute Jiu Jitsu Tournament. This is a No-Gi submission only style tournament. 

You MUST pre-register for this event.

Early bird registration: March 1st - March 31st

Normal registration: April 1st - April 30th

Late registration May 1st - May 6th

No registrants will be accepted after May 6th

RULES:

In this, we will run each match as a single elimination submission only match.

Weigh-ins will start at 8:00 am. You must weigh in wearing the attire you wish to compete in. (No jeans, or shorts with pockets, no jackets, etc) 

Match length:Adult Regulation time: Standard 8 Min Match

Teen Regulation time: 5 min matches at all skill levels

Youth ages 9-12 regulation time: 5 min matches at all skill levels.

Youth ages 5-8 regulation time: 3 Min matches all skill levels

Ways a Match can be Won:Win via Submission victory within regulation time.Win in Overtime: victory by submission, fastest submission time, or fastest escape time.Win by opponent disqualification.Win via opponent forfeiture.

Submission is based upon physical tapping, a verbal tap, or yelling during a submission attempt. If an opponent must have the match stopped for any injury related incident or any other reason beyond control that does not warrant any disqualifications, the opponent will have 5 mins to return to the match or they will have to forfeit the match.

OVERTIME: When there is no submission within regulation time, the match will be decided in Overtime. Each competitor will be placed onto the seatbelt position. The winner will be the one with the fastest escape time.

Blue belts and above:All above submissions plus: Wrist locks, Knee bar, Groin stretches, Calf slicer, and Toe holds.

Illegal techniques: 

Jumping guard

Heel hooks

Knee reaping

TThe "Absolute" division is NOT the same as the "TRUE ABSOLUTE" division. Furthermore, in order to compete in the "Absolute" division, you must be registered in the regular ranked, and weighted, division. 

The True Absolute division will include men AND women who have won either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their respective "Absolute" division, above 18 years of age, with no weight limit, and no ranks. It is TRUE Absolute. Winner will win a cash prize. Only winners from each adult weighted division will be allowed to enter the True Absolute division. True Absolute rules are the same as "Blue and above" rules. 

We do NOT allow slamming your opponent. Slamming is picking up your opponent and forcibly increasing their velocity toward the ground. You may not pick up your opponent only to fall on top of them in an effort to break the guard.

You must compete at the highest rank you have achieved in any grappling art.

In the event there is no-one else in your division, we reserve the right to move you up in either weight class, and/or belt rank.
