The Battle of Stockholm

The event is postponed until further notice.

This first time it will be a rehersal for Nexus members only. 

It is a submission wrestling, double elimination competition with third prize matches. This means that you are guaranteed at least two matches. The competitors will be seeded according to age and experience. All matches are 8 min. If a match ends without submission it will be followed by a EBI-overtime final.

Schedule

Drop in at 12.30. Matches starts at 13:30. Estimated ready at 17.00.

Weight classes

Men: -66kg, -77kg, -88kg, -99, +99kg

Women: -60 -70, +70

Weigh-in

The weigh-ins are directly before your first match.

If you can not make weight before the end of the weigh-in period or is not medically cleared to compete, you will be disqualified. 

There will be a test scale avaliable.

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances on fight day, refunds is handled through Smoothcomp within the allowed time period.

Open class

Register for open class for free if you are competing in your weight class. First match will be against an opponent in a similar weight. 

Rules

Legal techniques

• Any kind of choke (except for using the hand to close the wind pipe). 

• Any arm bar, shoulder lock, or wrist lock

• Any Leg Lock or Ankle Lock

Illegal Techniques:

• No use of T-Shirt and no holding the shorts allowed

• No slamming, also not out of locks

• “Full Nelson” and “Crucifix”

• No striking of any kind

• No eye gouging or fish hooking

• No grabbing the ears

• No hair pulling

• No finger or toe break

• No thumbing

• No scratching and pinching

• No kicking

• No biting

• No touching groin area

• No hands, knees or elbows on face

• No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing

EBI- overtime

Start position is either back with two hooks in and a seatbelt or spider web. A coin will be flipped and the person who wins (here called x) chooses which of the two attacking positions he or she will hold the other person (here called Y) in.

Xs assignment is to submit Y, Ys assignment is to escape from a submitting position within 2 minutes. The time it takes for either one of the above is noticed, and then they change places, and Y gets to change the attacking position to start in. The one who submits or escapes the quickest wins.

Uniform

Must wear rash guard and shorts or spats. No shorts with pockets are allowed.

No slippery substances on the body

No metal on clothing or body

Wrestlingshoes optional

No metal or hard plastic protections

Registration fee

Normal registration: 100 SEK or 10 euro (before 1 june)

Late registration: 150 SEK or 15 euro (1 june- 10 june)

It is all about the glory and honor! 

General info

Fight schedule and brackets will be up after the late registration period ends.

Where need be, divisions will be combined in order to secure everyone fights, pending the number of athletes in each category.

3-4 mats will be used, depending on number of competitors.

There will be generous space for warm up on a wrestling mat.

When unexperienced competitors take part the referees will stop the fight extra early in a dangerous situation to prevent injuries. The competitors safety is the priority.

There will be limited space for audience, the competitors are the priority.  

Restaurants are within a range of 400 m. Fruits and bars will be sold in the arena.
