COMPETITION RULES

1 - Prizes

Event T-shirt for the first 200 (100 vouchers distributed at the Grand Prix of Spain and 100 for the first registered AFFILIATES).

Medals for the Champions🥇, Runners-up🥈 and Double Bronze🥉 (2 thirds).

Championship ring All Category Champions (minimum 4 in category)

🏆Trophies for Teams up to 5th classified Gi, up to 3rd classified NoGi and up to 3rd classified Kids.

2 - The competition has a sports accident insurance that will cover athletes who suffer an accident on the day of the event with a limit of 1500 euros per accident, it is recommended to all competitors to have a private accident insurance in case of serious accidents.

3 - ⏰ The athlete must be present at least 20 minutes before his fight or he will be disqualified, without the right to ask for a refund of the registration fee. We recommend to show up at least 60 minutes before, the event can be advanced very substantially and it is the sole responsibility of the participants to be attentive to the updates in the dynamic schedule from their profile.

4 - Only authorized persons will be allowed to take pictures or record the fights in the fight area.

5 - ⌚All athletes are responsible for periodically checking the time of their fights from their profile page on smoothcomp.com. Fights can be moved forward or delayed very substantially throughout the day. Any athlete who is not present at the time of being called to weigh-in will be disqualified, regardless of whether the event has been moved forward from the first published time.

6 - Age: the age of an athlete is a function of the year, not the exact date of birth, so for example, an athlete who is 17 years old on the day of the competition but that same year will turn 18 is considered for the system as "18 years old athlete" and must compete in Adult.

ABSOLUTES

Adult and Master:

White Belts do not have Absolute ⚪⛔

Only the 1st🥇 and 2nd🥈 classified may attend the Absolute (in Black Belt ⚫ all participants may go to the Absolute)

Individual trophy for all champions

For an Absolute to be held there must be at least 4 athletes from at least 3 different teams in the category

Whoever has competed that day in Adult may only go to the Adult Absolute, whoever has competed in Master can only go to the Absolute Master (even if he has been forcibly unified from Master to Adult)

The Master category makes a Unified Absolute Master (which includes from Master 1 to 7).

ATHLETES UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE

Athletes under 18 years of age wearing belts that do not exist for their age under the IBJJF General Qualification System may only fight in a grade commensurate with their age category.

ATHLETE ALONE IN THE CATEGORY

The organization will always try to find possible bouts in category for the athletes who have been left alone by unifying them in age or weight with other categories. It will be the sole responsibility of the unified athlete to check these changes and, in case he/she wants to modify them, to contact the organization. No changes or refunds will be allowed on the day of the competition for this reason: "I didn't want to be unified, I want the medal of my category...". No. The athlete must check the key he/she is in before the day of the competition. Once checked, these athletes alone in the category (or who have been forcibly unified to another one by the organization) can choose one of the following options if they contact the organization before the day of the championship.

(In case the category is filled with another athlete(s) during the General Verification, these options will no longer be available and the athlete will remain in his/her category).

OPTION 1:

Remain in the current category, be in the weight referring to their category and receive the first place medal.

After verifying the weight, uniform and receiving the medal, the athlete will be able to register for the Absolute category if available for his category.

OPTION 2:

Move up or down to next weight category, or in case of Master move down in Age category.

When moving up or down in age and/or weight, athletes must have an opponent in the chosen category. However, the organization cannot guarantee that the opponent will be present on the day of the fight.

Athletes must make the category selection after checking the Athlete List. The decision to move up or down in age and/or weight is the athlete's responsibility. If choosing this option, the athlete must be aware that it is necessary to be within the weight limit of the new category. The athlete must specify the exact category he/she wishes to transfer by providing the first and second options (options are limited to the categories available at the championship).

Master and Adult categories: To move up or down in age category, the athlete must specify an eligible age category determined by their year of birth. For example, an athlete qualified to compete in Master 2 may move up to Master 1 or Adult, but may not move up to Master 3.

Youth Categories: such athletes may NOT fight in Adult if they do not have a fight in their category.

OPTION 3:

Cancel the registration to the championship for those athletes who do not have a fight.

They will be able to cancel their registration 1 day after the closing of the lists by sending an e-mail to [email protected]. They will be given a voucher (non-refundable) for another competition belonging to the same organization.

REFUND POLICY

💰 We offer a refund for cancellation of registration according to the date of cancellation:

60% during late registration.

MOMENTS BEFORE THE COMBATTo identify yourself, it is mandatory to bring an official document with photo for the weigh-in: ID card, PASSPORT or federative card.
