STRAIGHT BLAST GRAPPLING TOURNAMENT (Sept 23/24)

We want the best athlete experience.  We will be running two brackets at a time to ensure proper breaks between matches, and to help make it predictable for spectators/coaches/parents.

This tournament is geared to be beginner friendly, with additional options for more experienced grapplers.
- Round Robin means up to four fights per athlete per division
- We will not be restricting Gi colors - let your character shine!
- We will do our best to create brackets of 5 athletes based on rank and weight*
*If a Group of only 3 is necessary, athletes can agree to Double Round Robin
*If a Group of only 2 is necessary, athletes can agree to Best of Three

THIS IS A TWO DAY EVENT:
Day 1
- Gi Only
- All Ages
- Adult White, Blue, and Purple Belts
- Brown and Black Belt modified Open Weight Divisions
- Potential Teen, Juvenile, and Adult Superfights
- Adult Absolute Divisions for Male White, Blue and Purple Belts (who medal in regular division)
- Open Weight Absolute Division for all interested Female White, Blue, and Purple Belts
- Masters (Male) Open Weight Divisions, White/Blue or Blue/Purple, for 36 years and up (minimum 8 athletes to compete for a belt)
- Classics (Female) Open Weight Division, White Blue and Purple Belts combined, for 32 years and up (minimum 8 athletes to compete for a belt)

In the EVENING of Day 1
- Female Brown and Black Belt -145 Super Bracket
- Featuring a chance to fight Trinity Pun (random draw, single elimination)
- Teen, Juvenile, and Adult Superfights sandwiched between Super Bracket matches
- All Ages Show

Day 2
- No Gi Submission Only
- All Ages
- Adult White, Blue, and Purple Belts
- Brown and Black Belt modified Open Weight Divisions
- Adult Absolutes (for medalists in Male Beginner and Advanced Divisions)
- Open Weight Absolute Division for all interested Female White, Blue, and Purple Belts
- Masters (Male) Open Weight Divisions, White/Blue or Blue/Purple, for 36 years and up (minimum 8 athletes to compete for a belt)
- Classics (Female) Open Weight Division, White Blue and Purple Belts combined, for 32 years and up (minimum 8 athletes to compete for a belt)

CONSIDERATIONS:
*Please consider registering up a weight class if there is a chance the athlete will need weight allowance by the time the tournament takes place.
*In the No Gi Divisions (Beginner or Advanced) we ask you to make the most fair choice.

REGISTRATION:
All Female Athlete Divisions are significantly reduced in price.  We hope to have as many jiujiteira's in attendance as possible!  Growing female athletics in the sport and the Province.

++An athlete proven to be a black belt in judo, have experience in freestyle or Greco-Roman wrestling or to have fought MMA as a professional or amateur, shall not be allowed to enter any tournament as a white belt.  In the USA, to have competed at a college level or higher.  In other countries, to have competed in events of national scope.++
