When do I check-in? When do you weigh in? Does it need to be in the Gi?
Check-in for your competition will only be allowed 1 hour prior to your appropriate call time. All competitors will start weigh-ins 1 hour before your scheduled start time, and can be done in No-Gi attire.
Will Spectators be allowed?
Yes, Rain or shine this will be an outdoor event and will allow for many spectators. Please advise anyone attending to be prepared for the weather.
Are there requirements for the Gi and No-Gi?
All Gi competitors must compete in a proper fitting Jiu Jitsu style kimono. There are no specific colors for this event. No-Gi attire should be a rashguard and Spats or shorts with NO POCKETS. As a last resort, a T-shirt may be worn but will need to be tucked into pants and as tight fitting as possible. Mouthguards are always welcome. Male competitors may not use a protective cup for competition.
What is the schedule for the day?
Gi divisions will run first with No-Gi to follow directly after all Gi divisions are done for that age bracket.
Competition will start at 9am on both days. Adults will have higher level belts starting at 9am. Kids will start with the youngest white belt competitors. Both days will start with Gi first. Schedule will come out closer to event date.
Smoothcomp has a progressive schedule system, on event day please keep track of your competition time throughout the day.
