Prestige: Submission Only No-Gi Grappling Tournament
Our “Spirit of Martial Arts” Community proudly presents it’s first Grappling tournament in (East-) Africa. It will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on April 15th.
Grappling is a non-striking hybrid sport origin from Wrestling, Judo, Sambo, (Brazilian) jiu-jitsu and other styles of submission fighting whose art consists in forcing the opponent to surrender through the application of locks and choking techniques. In accordance with the general philosophy of sport, the grapplers/wrestlers are required to honor the values of sportsmanship and fair play and they shall never intentionally injure a fellow sportsman in our competition(s).
Information: Doors open from 9am for weigh ins and must be completed before 1030 am. Weigh ins are done with No-Gi Outfit. Adult Division will commence at approximately 12am but is subject to change.
