COPA DE BORNEO

Copa de Borneo is back to present a 2-day international grappling event which is not only a grappling competition, but a celebration of what Borneo has to offer.

Copa de Borneo will follow the standard IBJJF rule set and weight categories for Day 1 and Luta Livre Rules for Day 2, serving up the varieties for grapplers around the world.

In celebration of Borneo, we are proud to promote our medal designed by our own local artist and also borneo themed t-shirt for befitting for warriors who are to grace the mat. Not forgetting our absolute winner's belt for warriors who dominate their respective belt category.

​1. Junior division brackets will be made in accordance to closest fit of age, weight and size match ups on the day.

2. Weigh-ins will be done with the Gi on which the gi has to be IBJJF approved length for the sleeves, lapel and everything else.

Separate weigh-ins will be conducted before the No-Gi event commences. There is no requirement for ranked rash guards.

4. Competitors under the age of 18 will require the consent of a parent or legal guardian with parent/guardian’s signature on the waiver form (to be signed on day of competition before entry to the mats).

5. In the event that a division has less than 3 competitors, it will be merged with the closest weight division and/or masters division (if any). Kindly note that this is solely the organisers discretion.

So head on to register. Same rate of fees till 7 days before competition. If you miss out on it, fret not, we are open for registration till 3 days before comp day. In case online registration closes or you want to do walk in, would much appreciate an email to notify us so we can ensure you won't miss out.
