ADCC Swedish Open is a grappling event in Eskilstuna, Sweden. The event is open for all countries.

Definition of experience classes
Adults +18 years
Beginner = Less than 2 years experience in BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling, Judo, MMA etc.
Intermediate = Less than 4 years experience in BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling, Judo, MMA etc.
Pro = More than 5 years experience in BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling, Judo, MMA etc.

Masters +35 years
Beginner = Less than 2 years experience in BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling, Judo, MMA etc.
Intermediate = More than 2 years experience in BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling, Judo, MMA etc.
Note: No Pro class for Masters. Intermediate rules is applicable for all Masters that trained more than 2 years.

Tournament system
Adult 18-34 years (beginner, intermediate and pro) – Elimination tournament
Masters +35 years (beginner, intermediate) – Elimination tournament

Fighting Time
Beginner
5 minutes in ordinary fights (first 2 min without points)
6 minutes in the finals (first 3 min without points)

Intermediate
6 minutes in the ordinary fights (first 3 min without points)
8 minutes in the finals (first 4 min without points)

Pro
6 minutes in ordinary fights (first 3 min without points)
8 minutes in the finales (first 4 min without points)

Equipment
Competitors compete in rashguard or tight t-shirt, shorts and/or tights (without pockets and zippers). Male competitors can compete shirtless.
Optional gear: wrestling shoes, groin protection, mouth guard. Gear containing metal are prohibited.

Classes
If there is not enough grapplers in a class, classes will be merged. A class with not enough grapplers will move up to the next weigh class in the same experience category.

Weight Classes
Beginner and Intermediate
Women: -50 kg, -55 kg, -60 kg, -65 kg, -70 kg, +70 kg
Men: -60 kg, -65 kg, -70 kg, -76 kg, -83 kg, -91 kg, -100 kg, +100 kg

Pro
Women: -60 kg, +60 kg
Men: -65,9 kg, -76,9 kg, -87,9 kg, - 98,9 kg, +99 kg

Pro Absolute
Women (no weight classes). All competitors that have won at least one fight in the Pro division can register to the absolute. Tournament organisation will choose the competitors. Max 8 competitors. Gold and silver medalists will be prioritized.

Men (no weight classes). All competitors that have won at least one fight in the Pro division can register to the absolute. Tournament organisation will choose the competitors. Max 16 competitors. Gold and silver medalists will be prioritized.

Coaches
One coach per academy free of charge. Coach registration is done via email, please send full name and academy to [email protected]. Last day of coach registration is 2020-01-08.

Prizes
Every weight class, three best fighters get medals
Absolute: 5000 SEK to winner

Competition payment
Registration fee: 400 SEK
Late registration fee: 600 SEK

Last day of normal registration: 2020-01-01 23:59.
Last day of late registration: 2020-01-08 23:59.
Last day of cancel: 2020-01-08 23:59.
Full refund: 2020-01-01 23:59.
Half refund: 2020-01-08 23:59.
No refunds if you don’t make weight.
You can change weight class via Smoothcomp until 2020-01-08 23:59.

Please note! If you don't make weight, tournament organisation will not move you to another weightclass, and you will be disqualified.

Spectators
The doors open 30 minutes before competition starts. Entrance fee 50 SEK.

Timetable
Weigh-in: 08.30-10.00.
Competition starts: approx 10.30.
