2020 JudoSA State Titles

2020 JudoSA State Titles is a major championship event in South Australia, open to competitors from Junior Boys and Girls to Senior Men and Women.

The South Australian State Titles is one of JudoSA's premier events in the year! Open to all eligible competitors. Experienced players represent their Club and compete for the honour of being State Champion in their division. This is also an ideal opportunity for less experienced players to compete against people from other clubs in their own weight and age categories to gain valuable competition knowledge and competence. Note, there is no cost for entering extra age divisions, if eligible.

Weigh-in is on Friday 11th September from 6 - 7pm at The Lights, 3 - 4pm at Pt Augusta Judo Club or 6.30 - 7.30 at Kazoku Judo Club. If you are unable to weigh-in at this time please contact the Event Director on [email protected] prior to the event.

A Kata competition will be held for players interested in presenting Nage-no-kata, Katame-no-kata, Ju-no-kata, Kime-no-kata and/or Kodokan Goshinjutsu. Achievement of a suitable score will count towards the player's next grading presentation and is valid for up-to 2 years from the event.

This year due to Covid-19 the State Titles were postponed to 12th September and the event will be conducted in compliance with the SA Government's Covid-Safe requirements.

The event flyer is available on the JudoSA website https://www.judosa.com.au/.

Note:

All players competing in the State Titles Shiai competition need a blue and white judogi

All players competing in the State Titles Kata competition must wear a white judogi

As per the JFA Sporting Code, mouth guards are permitted provided they are properly fitted by a dentist. Unfitted mouth guards shall not be permitted. The player must provide documentation prior to the competition to the Event Director at [email protected] and the player must also notify the mat Referee that they have a mouth guard each time they enter the mat to compete.

If you or anyone in the family are unwell in the days leading up to the event or you've been in contact with interstate or overseas travelers from areas with a closed border with SA please contact the Event Coordinator on [email protected] and/or refrain from competing at this event.
