Professor Joe Walters has been training Gracie Jiu Jitsu since moving to the Edwardsville area in 2008. Professor Joe attended SIU Edwardsville where he started the Jiu Jitsu Club in 2010 before moving on to achieve his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University. He continued his Jiu Jitsu training under Professor JW Wright in St. Charles, MO. Professor Joe was promoted to Black Belt in 2018 by Master Royler Gracie and Professor David Adiv. He has competed since 2008 winning multiple IBJJF Gold Medals and has participated in Professional Jiu Jitsu matches. Professor Joe is dedicated to sharing the principles of Gracie Jiu Jitsu that have brought him so much joy over the years. He aims to facilitate a professional and positive atmosphere that anyone can enjoy. Professor Joe believes Jiu Jitsu can be for everyone if they have the right place to train.
