2021 JudoSA Schools Competition

The JudoSA Schools Competition is open to all its members who are attending Primary or Secondary School in 2021.

COVID-SAFE RESTRICTIONS - Please note, under the current SA Government restrictions there are strict conditions on NO Spectators at events; only 1 caregiver permitted per child, if necessary! If the kids can carpool and have one caregiver/group of kids that would be appreciated by The Lights. All participants and their caregivers will need to leave as soon as their division is completed. Masks are mandatory for all adults while not on the mat!

The event will run from morning to early afternoon, commencing with a NewGen Training session at 9.30 am run by the State Coaching Team for the players before the MON bouts commence around 10.30am.

The MON division pools will be set up to include players who are within 10% of the each others weight and players of a similar experience level will be grouped by belt colour as much as possible.

The NewGen Training sessions are open to all junior players, not just to the competitors at the Championships.

Weigh-in for all Competitors is on Saturday morning at The Lights 8.30 to 9.00 am.

Changes to weight divisions will be allowed at time of weigh-in.

Gi Requirements

All player’s judo gi must be clean and sized correctly – not short or long!

MON division players just need one judo gi, of any colour. All other players must have white and blue judo gi.

Please ensure the nails of the feet and hands are trimmed.

Please note - JudoSA intends to live stream this event, technology permitting, so parents can view their children remotely.
