North Queensland Regional Judo Competition IV - Cairns Open

Open to all eligible Judo Queensland members. This is also an ideal opportunity for less experienced players to compete against people from other clubs in their own weight and age categories to gain valuable competition knowledge and competence.

Mat Areas

2 mat areas will be used throughout the day. 

Weigh-in

Friday night, 30th July from 4:30-6:30pm OR
Saturday morning 31st of July from 7:30-8:00am for MonStars & Junior and Senior Boys/Girls and from 10:00am-10:30am for all other divisions (Cadet through Veterans) at Northern Beaches Judo Club.

Changes to weight divisions will be allowed at time of weigh-in. If you are unable to weigh-in at this time please contact the Competition Administrator on [email protected] prior to the event.

Competition

Boys and Girls divisions will kick off at 8:30am.  After presentations, they are encouraged to leave the building unless they have a sibling or parent in the later divisions.

Men and Women's divisions will kick off at 12pm.  

Gi Requirements

All players competing in the Regional Shiai Championship must as a minimum wear a white judo gi.

Notes

As per the Judo Queensland Sporting Code, mouth guards are permitted provided they are properly fitted by a dentist. Unfitted mouth guards shall not be permitted. The player must provide documentation prior to the competition to the Event Administrator at [email protected] and the player must also notify the mat Referee that they have a mouth guard each time they enters the mat to compete.
