Glasgow BJJ Open 2019

The event will take place at Scotstoun Leisure Centre, Glasgow.

The event is limited to 350 competitors maximum.

The event is Gi only but all divisions will be double elimination. This means that you are guaranteed at least two matches in your division. Please not that the minimum size for a division running is 3 competitors, any divisions of less than 3 will be automatically merged down in age group (for masters divisions) or up in weight to ensure all competitors receive matches.

PRICES (for weight categories):

Early entry (until September 28th): £35 adults/masters | £15 Juveniles 

Normal entry (until October 26th): £45 adults/masters | £25 Juveniles 

Late entry (until November 10th): £55 adults/masters | £35 Juveniles 

PRICES (Cash bounty absolute, please note you must be entered into a weight category before your are eligible to enter an absolute, adults & masters only for absolutes)

Early entry (until September 28th): £10 adults/masters 

Normal & late entry (until close of entries): £20 adults/masters 

COMPETITION FORMAT:

All age and weight categories as per IBJJF rules.

All weight divisions will be run on a double elimination basis.  

Cash bounty openweight divisions are single elimination. For male competitors there will be two absolute divisions at each belt level , under 76kg and over 76kg. For females this is under 64kg and over 64kg at each belt. Prize fund will be determined by the number of entries in the division.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Closing date for all entries will be midnight on Sunday the 10th of November no entries will be accepted after this point and initial brackets will be available by no later than Monday November the 11th.

Refunds are only available until the close of registrations on Sunday the 10th of November and then only in the form of future event credit. No refunds will be given after this date or in any other format.

Competitors can use the Smoothcomp system to make a change in weight division up until midnight on Sunday the 10th of November, no changes in division will be considered after this date and any competitor who fails to make weight on the day will be disqualified without any possibility of refund. All payments must be made via Smoothcomp ahead of the event.

All competitors must make weight on our scales. There are no allowances given.
