Important Information:
- This is a No-Gi competition open to all BJJ levels.
- Minimum age 16yrs old.
- Rashguards MUST be worn, t-shirts of any kind are not permitted. Rashguards of any colour or design may be worn. You may wear a ranked rashguard if you wish but they are not compulsory.
- Appropriate BJJ/MMA or sports style shorts MUST be worn. Shorts with pockets, belt loops or zippers of any kind are NOT permitted.
- Start time is TBD dependant on the number of competitors. Weigh-in time TBD.
- The comp will be held outdoors on Norwood Oval.
- Mat-space will be covered by a marquee to shield competitors from the sun or any unseasonable rainfall.
- Four 5m x 5m comp mats will run concurrently throughout the day.
- This is a knock-out competition.
- Competitors MUST be honest about their belt rankings.
- Competitors may register in multiple divisions within their ranked category. Ie. A competitor may register for a weight class above their own & also for the “Super Absolute” division. Fees apply for any extra divisions you add.
- Divisions included; White belt, Blue belt, Purple belt and Brown/Black belt (combined).
- Weight divisions are available on the registration page.
- Competitors MUST weigh-in below or right on their weight class limit. There is NO SCALE ALLOWANCE.
- PLEASE NOTE: if there are not enough competitors registered in your particular weight class you will be automatically moved up to the next weight class.
- Our APEX ruleset is as follows; IBJJF rules apply but with no advantages. Referee’s decision will be applied in the case of a draw.
- All competitors are expected to compete with top sportsmanship and goodwill. Any unsportsmanlike or confrontational behaviour towards fellow competitors, referees, APEX Marshals or spectators will not be tolerated and result in expulsion from the comp and potential ejection from APEX SPORT FEST.
- COVID safety plan will be in place and shared leading up to the event.
- DFC is committed to bringing Combat Sports competitions to Adelaide and is once again excited to promote SA’s biggest Combat Sports event!
