Oregon Open Jiu Jitsu Championship
Get ready for the biggest Jiu Jitsu tournament in Oregon!
The 18th annual Oregon Open Jiu Jitsu Championship is a traditional, pointed Jiu Jitsu tournament where matches are decided by highest score, submission, or referee stoppage. Oregon Open has historically been a single elimination tournament but with experience matches for competitors who lose their first bout. To accomplish this most efficiently within the Smoothcomp platform, we have adjusted our bracketing to automatically incorporate a second match for athletes who lose their first match. Divisions include Gi and No-gi; Adult, Master 1 (30+), Master 2 (40+), and Youth (ages 5 up)… divided by belt/skill, weight, and age.
October 26 - Adults & Masters | Schedule available Thursday afternoon (10/24)

What to expect the day of the event:
TRACK YOUR BRACKET'S DYNAMIC START TIME
Please remember the schedule is LIVE the day of the event. It is not unusual for times to change rapidly throughout the day. It is the competitor’s responsibility to monitor any changes in the schedule to start times and mat changes for their bracket. Sub League is NOT responsible for any athlete who misses their weigh in or start time of their bracket. No refunds will be given to competitors who miss their weigh in or start time.
BE READY ON TIME
Competitors should be in the building and dressed to compete 1-hour before their BRACKET’s estimated start time (not their individual match time). The Brackets & Schedule will be available by Thursday before the event for Adults/Masters and by Friday before the event for Youth/Teens.
CHECK-IN
Every competitor will check-in at the front desk when they arrive. Competitors who registered by September 30 are eligible to receive a free T-shirt (available inside the venue at the merchandise booth). Competitors should stay up-to-date with the progress of their bracket start time and mat number on the screen provided in the bullpen or on their own phones.
Competitors wanting to check their weight before the official weigh-in should visit the bullpen to use the test scale. Warm up mats will be available.
WEIGH-INS
When your bracket is called (approximately 1-hour before your BRACKET’s start time) find your Bullpen Leader in the bullpen area to get officially weighed in. All competitors will weigh-in wearing their full competition attire. There is ZERO (0.00) weight allowance. Competitors weighing more than the maximum weight listed for their division will be disqualified and will not be allowed to compete. Athletes competing in both Gi and No-gi will weigh-in separately for both.
AWARDS
After your bracket is finished, please wait for the Awards Runner to take you from the mat to the awards booth to receive your medal. Adult/Masters receive medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Youth/Teens receive medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place plus participation medals for 4th place and above.
