PBG Adult Open - Castle Rock, CO

The PBG is designed by academies, for academies. The PBG exists to support our community as we work together to elevate our sport. 

CASH PRIZE POOLS: Black Belt & Absolute Divisions will have a cash prize pool. $50 is the cost of registration for these divisions, but $30 of each of these registrations will go into a prize pool. If there are less than 10 registrations in the division, then 1st place will take the entire prize pool. If there are more than 10 registrations, then the cash prize pool will be split 60/25/15 between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 

ACADEMY PROFIT SHARE: At the end of every event, registrations (except for black belt and absolute divisions) from each academy will be counted, and a check will be cut to each academy, compensating academies for their registrations and participation. Registrations cost $50, $30 of each registration goes to academies. 

Doors will open for weigh-ins at 7 am. Event will start promptly at 9 am.

Ruleset is similar to other popular jiu jitsu tournaments with scored 5 minute matches. 

1 Point = Solid Submission Attempt

2 Points = Knee on Belly, Sweeps, & Takedown (If against a wall, one hip and one shoulder of opponent must be grounded for 3 seconds for points to be awarded)

3 Points = Guard pass secured for 3 seconds. 

4 Points = Back Mount or Top Mount secured for 3 seconds. (Will count even if against the wall)

All Submissions & Takedowns allowed for Brown, Black & Absolute Divisions
