TOURNAMENT RULES:

Kids Divisions:
- Double-Elimination bracket format. Tie-breaker is shortest total time as opposed to highest points tie-breaker.
- AJP Points system:
2 points: takedown, sweep and knee on belly.
3 points: guard pass.
4 points: mount, back mount and back control.
- No wrist-locks
- Straight leg locks only for ages 14 and up
- No standing guillotines for all ages
- Normal guillotines allowed for ages 14 and up; none for under 14
- Referee's decision in case of a draw
- 3-minute fights, 1-minute overtime, then referee's decision
Novice Division:
- Double-Elimination bracket format. Tie-breaker is shortest total time as opposed to highest points tie-breaker.
- AJP Points system:

4 points: mount, back mount and back control.

Intermediate Division:

- No reaping the leg, No kneebars, No toeholds/corkscrews/Aoki locks, No heel hooks/twisting knee locks
- 6-minute fights
- EBI Tie-breaker in case of a draw
Advanced Divisions:

- No-Gi: heel hooks and toe-holds allowed
- Gi: No reaping, No Heel hooks
- 8-minute fights
- EBI Tie-breaker in case of a draw
Banned techniques across all divisions:
- No full nelson
- No neck cracks that trap both shoulders an dputs downward pressure on the neck
- No spiking your opponent on their head while attempting a takedown.
- No spiking your opponent's head when opponent is on your back
- Can Not roll forward while someone is on your back.
- No striking of any kind
- No eye gouging or fish hooking
- No grabbing the ears
- No hair pulling
- No holding of less than 4 fingers or less than 5 toes.
- No thumbing
- No scratching and pinching
- No punching of any kind
- No kicking of any kind
- No biting
- No squeezing or putting pressure on the groin area
- No hands, knees or elbows on the face
- No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing
- No crossface guillotine twisting the chin
- No use of holding the T-Shirt or shorts
