TOURNAMENT TIMES:

Doors Open to Public 8:00 AM

WEIGH IN: 8 AM to 8:50 AM for Bantam through Intermediate Divisions (will occur on the mats)

WEIGIN IN: 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM for Juvenile A and up Divisions 

 **Bring a hard copy of your USJF or USJA current insurance card to weigh in. This will be collected at weigh in.**

**Check in registration with your Smoothcomp ID only. Do NOT check in with your USJF card. If you do not have your Smoothcomp ID number ready upon check in, then you will be asked to go to the back of the line. 

**BANTAM AND ALL NOVICE DIVISIONS** PLEASE PROVIDE ESTIMATE OF ATHLETE'S WEIGHT AS A NOTE DURING ONLINE REGISTRATION.

This will help with pre-placement of athletes in appropriate grouped weight classes by the Tournament Director.

START 9:00 AM Morning Session Bantam through Intermediate Divisions

10:45 AM Late Session Juvenile A and up 

Make sure that when you create a Smoothcomp Account you provide accurate information for the athlete that will be registered in the tournament. Choose the division that matches the athlete's age and weight.

BANTAM DIVISIONS: For Bantam 1 and Bantam 2 divisions, weight classes have been made to reflect Light, Middle, or Heavy.  Athletes should be placed in the most logical weight class. Bantam Division athletes will not be disqualified for not making weight.  Following weigh in, athletes will be grouped by closest weight before the start of the tournament.

NOVICE DIVISION: If the athlete has less than 6 months experience they can enter the Novice Division. For each age division in Novice, there is either a Light, Middle, or Heavy option. Choose the weight class that makes the most sense. Athletes in the Novice Division will not be disqualified for not making weight. Athletes in the Novice Division will be grouped by closest weight before the start of the tournament.

Please remember to use an approved/conforming white judo Gi to regulation. If you are designated as a blue contestant you have the option of wearing an approved/conforming blue judo Gi. Both white and blue contestants are responsible for bringing their own white and blue belts.

International Judo Federation competition rules will be followed with the following modifications:

Match time for Novice divisions will be 2 minutes. Match time for all other divisions will be 3 minutes.

Chokes are Allowed from Juvenile A and up. NO Chokes allowed in Bantam, Intermediate, and all Novice categories.

Armbars are Allowed in Juvenile C and up.  NO Armbars allowed in Bantam, Intermediate, Juvenile A, Juvenile B, and all Novice categories.

 IJF regulation competition mats will be used.

The Care System will not be used for this tournament.

BRACKETS: 

Divisions with 2 people will be Best of 3.

Divisions with 3-4 people will be Round Robin.

Divions with 5 or more people will be True-Double Elimination.
