Skill Levels
- Beginner: up to 2 years / White Belts
- Intermediate: up to 4 years / Blue Belts
- Advanced: up to 6 years / Purple Belts
- Expert: over 6 years / Brown & Black Belts
The belt colors correspond to the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) / Luta Livre belt system.
Allowed Techniques
- Straight and twisted arm locks
- Foot and wrist locks
- Finger locks, as long as at least 3 fingers are held
- Straight leg locks (for all skill levels)
- Twisted leg locks (starting from Advanced)
- Straight neck locks (starting from Intermediate)
- Chokes, as long as the windpipe is not grabbed
- Throws and takedowns, as long as the opponent does not land on the head or neck.
Prohibited Techniques
- Punches and kicks
- Throws where the opponent lands on the head or neck
- Slams (when the opponent is lifted off the ground)
- Fishhooking (inserting fingers into body openings)
- Twisted neck locks
- Spine locks
- Biting
- Hair pulling
- Grabbing the windpipe
- Techniques aimed at intentionally injuring the opponent
General Rules
- Each round lasts 5 minutes. A round can end early due to submission, injury, or disqualification.
- Every fight begins standing.
- A successful submission immediately ends the fight.
- Overtime begins immediately if there is no winner at the end of the round. The fighters continue directly without being reset to a standing position.
Overtime Rule
- In overtime, the fighter who first achieves a holding position or is standing wins.
- If both fighters are standing, only the holding position counts.
- Overtime lasts a maximum of one minute.
Stalling
- The fight must be actively progressed at all times.
- If a fighter is inactive for too long, the fight will be restarted in a standing position.
- In extreme cases, the referee may issue a penalty. This results in immediate loss in overtime if the fight is tied.
Safety and Hygiene Regulations
- Fighters must always follow the referee's instructions.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior, including but not limited to verbal insults or physical attacks outside of allowed techniques, will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
- Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed short to avoid injury.
- Fighters must wear clean and intact clothing.
- Fighters should be free from contagious skin conditions or other infections.
- By competing, each fighter ensures that they are in good health and able to fight.
Clothing Regulations
- Fighters must wear a rash guard or a tight-fitting shirt that at least covers the shoulders.
- Fight shorts, leggings, or both must be worn.
- Pants with pockets or metal/plastic parts like zippers or buttons are prohibited.
- Mouthguards and groin protectors are optional.
Tournament Mode
- Nordic Round Robin principle
- Everyone fights everyone
- Two losses result in elimination
Disqualifications and Sanctions
- Violations of the above rules will result in a warning or disqualification, depending on the severity of the violation.
- Repeated violations will lead to immediate disqualification and possible further sanctions as determined by the tournament officials.
Referees and Decisions
- Referees' decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
- Referees have the right to interrupt the fight at any time to ensure the fighters' safety.
