2021 JudoSA MONsters & Seniors Competition (May)

The Seniors' Competition is an event specifically for 15 year and over players - nominations are open until weigh-in on the day of the event! It is fun and efficient. Senior Yellow belt to black belts are eligible to compete. And MONster Judo organised by Kazoku Judokan is for children U15 year beginner judoka (junior white/yellow tip belt and up)

MONster Judo League

      WEIGH IN:               9.00 am – 9.30 am

      WARM UP/GAMES:  9.30 am – 10.00 am

       SHIAI:                    10.00 am – 12.30 pm

COST $15 player (payable on the day)

Judo gi must be clean and fit for judo, but either blue or white are fine for the MONster event. Nails must be trimmed on hands and feet.

Seniors Competition 

       Weigh-in:                   10.30 am to 11.30 am
                                      (JFA No. and Grade Certificate number needed)

       Warm-up:                  12.00 noon to 12.30 pm

      Shiai Start:                 12.30 pm to  finish by ~3 pm (depending on entries)

Novice Yellow Belt Pools will be run in divisions that have sufficient nominations.

Gi Requirements

All players competing in the Seniors' Competition must have clean white and blue judo gi of the correct size - the The “skirt” has to cover the buttocks completely. The judogi sleeves must cover up the full arm including wrist. The distance between the bottom of the trousers and the exterior ankle bone must be less or equal to 5 cm. The belt tips starting from the central knot must have a length between 20 and 30 cm.

Nails of the feet and hands must be cut short.

Note: As per the Judo Australia Sporting Code, mouth guards are permitted provided they are properly fitted by a dentist. Unfitted mouth guards shall not be permitted. The player must provide documentation prior to the competition to the Event Coordinator at [email protected] and the player must also notify the mat Referee that they have a mouth guard each time they enters the mat to compete.
