FUJI PRO Jiu Jitsu Challenge 2023

The FUJI PRO Jiu Jitsu Challenge is a well-organized Gi event with a Pro experience and nearly €8,000 Euros in CASH prizes.

INTRODUCTION
Building on our first European event in 2017, this second FUJI Pro Jiu Jitsu Challenge will be bigger and better! This well-organized Gi event, will offer a PRO experience for serious competitors of different levels, with serious cash prizes for the winners of each weight class.

PRIZES
Prize for winner of each weight class:
White & Blue belt (Amateur): €300 cash
Purple belt & up (Pro): €1,000 cash + €500 in gear sponsorship


FORMAT
- IBJJF rules
- 5 minutes rounds (all divisions)
- Weight classes: Men -66, -77, -88, and -99 kg. Women -64 and -74 kg.
- Weigh in: in the Gi, before the start of the fights
- Maximum number of competitors per weight class: men 32, women 16

REFUNDS

Once you paid for your registration, refunds are not possible. All payments will be used to create an amazing experience for those that compete. 

WEIGH IN & GI CHECK

Weigh in starts on the day of the competition, before the start of the fights. Weigh in takes place in the full Gi (the one you compete in) and with the belt. 

GIs should be tailored using cotton or cotton-like fabric only. The fabric should not be so thick or hard as to impede an opponent from gripping it.

The GI top should reach the athlete’s thigh and the sleeves should come to no more than 5 cm from the athlete’s wrist when the arm is extended straight parallel to the ground.

GI pants should reach no more than 5 cm above the tibial malleolus (ankle bone).

Men are not allowed to wear a rash guard underneath their gi, ladies are allowed to wear one.

DIVISIONS

Minimum age: 16

White and blue belt are combined (amateur), and purple, brown and black belt are also combined (pro).

- Men, white & blue belt : -66, -77, -88, and -99 kg.
- Men, purple belt & up: -66, -77, -88, and -99 kg.

- Women, white & blue belt: -64 and -74 kg.
- Women, purple belt & up: -64 and -74 kg.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

When the divisions do not reach the minimum amount of participant, we will be forced to merge divisions or cancel that division.
Minimum amount of registrations per division:

Male Amateur: 3

Male Pro: 6

Female Amateur: 3

Female Pro: 6

RULES

This event will be contested under IBJJF standards. You can find the rules on www.ibjjf.com/rules/

All divisions compete with 5 minute rounds.

The combined White & Blue belt divisions compete under Blue belt rules. This means wristlocks are allowed.

The combined Purple, Brown & Black belt divisions compete under Black belt rules. This means all foot and joint locks are allowed, except heel hooks, neck cranks and spinal locks.

08:00 Venue open, and start weigh ins

Please be there 30-60 minutes before the start of the fights, to allow enough time for warm up and weigh in.
