Established in 1954. An affiliate of Judo Queensland and UQ Sport, the University of Queensland Judo Club boasts a rich history and caters for all martial arts skill levels - from first timers to elite level athletes to lifelong practitioners. Held at the University of Queensland Sport Fitness Centre & Northside Martial Arts Academy, the Clubs are also one of the few that are equipped with a sprung flooring that makes for a safe and effective ground to train on. Judo is a modern martial art that was created as a physical and mental discipline which has evolved into a popular Olympic sport. There are many different skills in Judo from throwing, grappling and ground fighting that will challenge the participants.
