8:30 am                           Kata competitors check in and warm up.

8:30 am                           Kata competition begins on assigned mat.    

9:00 am                           Junior competitors check in.

9:30 am                           Junior competition begins.  

12:00 pm                         Senior and Veterans competitors check in.

12:30 pm                         Senior and Veterans competition begins.

Please be on time. Note all coaches must send in a verified weight of the shiai competitor via photograph at least 2-3 days before the day of the tournament. Tournament Information:                                                   

All judoka must be current members of either USJF, USJA or USA Judo.  Judoka must have proof of membership when registering. Go to http://www.usjf.com to register with the USJF. 

Contest Areas: Two IJF regulation mat size will be used .   

Contest:         

Modified Double Elimination (Round Robin for small pools).  If there is a tie in placing within a given division, the winner will then be selected by the total number of wins.  If there is still a tie within the division, the winners of 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place will be then be decided by the number of points earned (10 points for each win by Ippon, 5 points for each win by Wazari).     

Rules:

Modified IJF Rules will govern this tournament. Current IJF medical rules (no examination except for blood or grave injury) will apply in all Senior and Veterans divisions.  No shime waza (chokes) are allowed for juniors age 12 and under. There will be no kansetsu waza (armbars) allowed in Junior and Novice divisions. Novice divisions will be created as necessary. Those who perform prohibited acts are subject to automatic Hansoku Make.  Any junior who participates in senior competition is subject to senior tournament rules.

Kata 

Entry Fee $100 per Team for each Kata payable through Smoothcomp

Nage No Kata, Katame No Kata, Ju No Kata and Goshin Jutsu

The Tournament Director reserves the right to alter, adjust, increase, or decrease the number of divisions and competitive pools as needed. 

Awards:

There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place medals presented.
