Welcome to AFG Hong Kong Royale Battle Round Robin Jiu Jitsu competition!

This exciting event is designed specifically for kids who are interested in learning and competing in the sport of Jiu Jitsu. Our team of experienced instructors and referees work hard to ensure that all matches are conducted in a safe and fair manner. We believe that competition is an important part of the learning process for children, and our goal is to provide a positive and supportive environment where kids can challenge themselves, make new friends, and have fun while learning the art of Jiu Jitsu.

HKD 500 / competitor

Belt Division

White / Grey / Yellow / Orange / Green

Age and weight division

Kids 1 (age 4)  (2 mins match)

Kids 2 (age 5) (3 mins match)

Kids 3 (age 6) (3 mins match)

Kids 4 (age 7）(3mins match)

Kids 5 (age 8)  (3mins match)

Kids 6 (age 9)  (3mins match)

Pre Teen (age 10) (4 mins match)

Pre Teen (age 11)  (4mins match)

Girls  (age 12) (4 mins match)

Rooster/light feather / feather / light / middle/ medium heavy / heavy / super heavy

Rules for competitors

 *Mouthguards are highly RECOMMENDED 

 *Must have finger and toenails cut ( will be checked at weigh in)

 *Must show Good Sportsmanship- Win, Lose or Draw ( Shake opponents hand and other coaches hand)

1) NO slamming opponent

2) NO heel hooks or twisting knee locks

3) NO striking

4) NO biting, hair-pulling, or eye-gauging

5) NO cervical neck cranks

6) NO jumping

Scoring System:

In BJJ competitions, a competitor can win a match by submission, points, advantage, or referee's decision.

Here's a breakdown of the scoring system:

Throws and/or takedowns: 2 points

Knee on belly: 2 points

Sweep: 2 points

Passing the guard: 3 points

Top mount position: 4 points

Control from the back (Back mount and/or Back Grab): 4 points

Advantage: is determined by aggressiveness, submission attempts, takedown attempts, and superior positioning.
