Frequently Asked Questions

• What happens if I signed up for the weight division, but realize I will not be able to make the weight before the tournament begins and would it be possible for me to change weight classes?

1. The last day to change weight classes is 2 days prior to the event day. You must make weight to fight at the event day or else you will be disqualified and no refund will be reimbursed.

• When and who will I be fighting against in my category?

1. Competitors bracket will be released 24 hours prior to the event.

• When do I weigh-in?

1. You will do a weigh-in before your match is called, please refer to Information page/tab.

• Do I weigh-in with Gi?

1. Yes, you will need to weigh-in with either Gi top and bottom.

• Can my i bring my coach with me to the mat  to corner me and will there be spectators during competition?

1. Yes, each competitor will be allowed to bring one coach and spectators are allowed to be in the competition venue for FREE.

• What happens if I signed up but I am unable to compete on the event date?

1. Unfortunately in any scenario which you are unable to make it to the event, no reimbursement/refunds will be provided.

• What type of competition brackets are used for this event?

1. If any scenarios as below for the participants in one category, the below shall followed:

2 Man = Best 2 out of 3    

3 Man = Round robin                                                        

5 Man to 9 Man = Double elimination if you lose you still compete for 3rd place.

10 Man or more = Fight Bracket will be designed for two matches. Lose your first fight and get a chance for another. Lose in semi-finals and compete for third.

• How do I sign up for Absolute category?

1. Absolute category is only available for players who have registered to at least one of the divisions and weight categories minimally.

• Can I sign up for more than one weight category in the competition as I wish to challenge above my weight category?

1. One participant can participate multiple division in their own weight category and go above their own weight category to challenge for one price without extra additional charges to join other division. *Participant shall not be allowed to participate below their own walking weight category.*

• Would I be medically covered if any injuries occurred during the event?

1. Organizers will have a medical team standby onsite for minor treatment but however if there is a major injuries suffered in the unfortunate circumstances and required hospitalization treatment costings, costs will not be covered by the organizers and shall be bare by the competitor/participant themselves respectively.

**Event organizer reserved the rights to adjust the match brackets of the divisions/categories in terms of merging the weight category with the higher up weight category if only one contestant is registered to his/her own weight category which has no other competitor in the same weight category upon consent from the registrant himself/herself  or guardian for kids/juvenile division.
