Competition Format Guidelines

1. Bracket Format: Our competition format adheres to the IBJJF single elimination bracket for 4 competitors and above.

2. Exception Handling: In the event of brackets with 3 competitors, we employ a round-robin format, providing the first loser with a second chance.

3. Two-Competitor Brackets: Brackets with 2 competitors continue with the single elimination format.

4. Single Competitor Brackets: If a bracket ends up with only 1 competitor, we will contact the fighter to propose merging with another bracket, typically in a higher weight division or with a younger entry. If the competitor declines the merge suggestion, we will follow IBJJF standard practice, awarding them a medal without awarding team points.

Important Note: Being the sole competitor in a division does not qualify for a refund. Our organization maintains a strict no-refund policy.
