Early Registration (ends 31/01/2022) -£20 Junior & Juveniles / £30 Adults, Masters & Seniors

Normal Registration (ends 20/03/2022) -  £25 Junior & Juveniles / £35 Adults, Masters & Seniors

Late Registration (ends 03/04/2022) - £30 Junior & Juveniles / £40 Adults, Masters & Seniors

Spectator fees are £5 per person, payable on the day of the event. One adult per Junior / Juvenile competitor will be permitted to spectate for free. 

Registration Deadlines

Registration closes for this event Midnight 03/04/3033. No entrees will be accepted on the day of the event. 

Athletes can make changes to their registrations up to Midnight 04/04/2022 via smoothcomp. After this date no further changes will be permitted. We reserve the right to merge you after the change deadline of midnight 04/04/2020 if you are alone in your division into another suitable division. 

If this event reaches maximum capacity the organisers reserve the right to close registration early. 

Refunds - Full refunds will be available automatically via smoothcomp for registrations withdrawn up until 20/03/2022. After this date a credit refund, to be used toward future events, will be issued by the event organisers. After the registration check day, 04/04/2022 no further refunds or credits will be issued. 

Any athlete whose opponent does not show up on the competition day, leaving them without a match, will be issued a credit refund by the event organisers. 

Categories

This event will run Junior, Juvenile, Adult, Masters 1-3 and Senior 1 male and female divisions.

Registration for Absolute Divisions will be open on the day of the event for the following divisions: Blue Belt to Black Belt Adult, Masters & Seniors. Registration for absolutes will be open to division medalists only. 

Schedule

Brackets and match schedules will be published via smoothcomp and will be updated live throughout the event. Athletes should be in the warm up area 60 minutes ahead of the start of the division. It is the athletes responsibility to check-in with their mat co-ordinator when called. Any athletes not present at the start time of their division will be disqualified.  

Competition Format & Rules

This event is a Gi only competition, following IBJJF ruleset, with single elimination rounds.

Uniform - All athletes' uniform is required to meet IBJJF standards. If the athlete’s uniform does not meet requirements, they will have one opportunity to find a suitable replacement or will be disqualified. All junior athletes will be required to wear a rashguard top beneath their Gi.

Weigh-ins - Athletes will be required to weigh-in in their full uniform immediately ahead of their first match. Organisers will allow up to 0.5kg allowance for Junior and Juvenile athletes only, if athletes fail to make weight they will be disqualified. 

One coach per competitor will be permitted to sit mat-side for the duration of the match. Coaches must remain seated during matches and must not interfere with event officials. All athletes and coaches must leave the competition area once their matches have finished. 

Prizes

Medals will be awarded to Gold, Silver and joint Bronze placed competitors. 

Team Trophies will be awarded for Best Overall Team - Adults and Best Overall Team - Juniors & Juveniles.

Results will be updated and available live via smoothcomp.

Photos will be posted to THE JIU JITSU DERBY Facebook page following the event. 

THE EVENT ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY OR ADMISSION. THE RESPECT RULE WILL BE IN OPERATION AND ANY COMPETITOR, COACH OR SPECTATOR THAT BREAKS THIS RULE WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE EVENT.
